Our story began as the Pension Annuity Friendly Society (PAFS) in 1995 after we saw a problem in the retirement industry. Back then, pension companies took a one-size-fits-all approach to retirement income, meaning people often got short-changed at a time they could least afford it.

This didn’t seem fair, so we decided to do things differently.  We launched an innovative new way for people to receive a personalised retirement income based on their own situation, helping our customers get more from their pension savings.

Since then, Just Group companies have worked with financial advisers and many well-known brands to help over 700,000 people achieve a more rewarding retirement.

Unlike other financial services companies, we’ve always focused on retirement... and just retirement. This gives us a unique understanding of people’s needs at this stage of life, and we’ve seen at first-hand how these needs have changed over the years.
